About Joycelyn Urech

I am a native of Houston, Texas, I have lived in Katy and the Katy Area for more than half my life. I am a proud Texan and was raised to be independent and self-sufficient.

Growing up in Texas I always saw oil wells being drilled and knew people who had oil wells on their property. So naturally, I decided that I wanted to work in the oil and gas industry. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Houston in Geophysics and later fell in love with real estate law. I obtained my real estate license and then went to paralegal school. That wasn’t enough for so I applied to attend law school and graduated from South Texas College of Law. I was not trying to save the world but wanted to help people with legal issues.

I have practiced law for more than 29 years and have worked in various areas of law but none have been as satisfying as Estate Planning, Probate, and Real Estate which are my focus areas. I have a passion for helping families and individuals prepare for the future to secure their legacy so they can rest knowing they have a plan. There is a suitable plan for each person and family and with each client my goal is to prepare the one that suits that person and/or family best.

I have a passion for helping people plan, organize and transfer assets, whether it’s transferring real property, making an estate plan, or probating the estate of a loved one, each is important for the preservation of an estate. My style is approachable; I like to make sure my clients have the tools and information they need to plan properly for the future.
